Western Mass SCORE Workshop Process

Writing a Business Plan

Are you thinking of starting a business? Or, are you already in business and thinking of expanding? The Business Plan and the Cash Flow Projection are the two most important documents needed for you to succeed. Any lenders or investors you plan to approach will require these two documents.

There is a critical difference between businesses that succeed and those that fail. And, it's not a matter of luck. Planning and careful financial analyses represent the distinction and are keys to success. The Business Plan is a road map used to guide your strategy. It helps you identify critical business decisions that will determine the level of your success. The Cash Flow Projection, kept current for changing business conditions, signals when your business will become profitable and, more importantly, helps you stay on track and remain consistent your Business Plan.

This workshop includes videotapes, lectures and hands-on-practical examples to help you understand the need for a plan and a cash flow projection. It teaches you how to write your plan and do your cash flow analysis. Your workshop materials will provide step-by-step instructions and sample formats that will prepare you for start-up or expansion.

A $25.00 fee is assessed to cover the cost of workbooks and materials. Additional people from the same organization may attend the workshop at no charge, unless additional materials are requested.
